Exmouth is a lovely seaside town, extremely friendly people who are really helpful when trying to fins a shop or particular place. Many restaurants, bars and pubs.
We went for a beautiful 2 mile walk along the new footpath/cycle coastal route up to Lympstone and back on the local train. The following day we went on a boat trip to Topsham which was excellent. The captain was great and gave us an excellent and informative commentary. We then explored Topsham, had some lunch in a local pub and caught the train back to Exmouth. The train fare was included in the boat trip booking.

Really lovely town centre.
Really lovely town centre. It felt safe and clean with a mixture of independent and large shops.
Has easy access to the beach and the addition of the hidden dinosaurs is really sweet especially if you have a little one obsessed with dinosaurs

Nice seafront, looks more upmarket than some seaside resorts.
Plenty of places to eat and drink although watch out for pubs closing early out of season. Beginning of May and the harbour pub closed at 10pm.
Love floating restaurant Exe Cafe, but have to book well in advance.

I used to live here so very happy to return for a more lane visit. It is an ideal place for families with good safe beaches, good travel facilities for access to other areas of Devon by bus or train, especially to Exeter’s excellent shopping. Not the most interesting of towns but good middle of the road unpretentious place to visit & enjoy.

Exmouth itself is an attractive holiday resort for all the family. Superb sandy beach with many facilities, wide range of hotels and restaurants, railway and buses. Many restaurants serve a wide variety of fish menus. One is able to walk and walk and enjoy the variety of houses, streets, special buildings, the market and the coffee/snack outlets. An extremely satisfactory area for all ages, albeit rather steep roads if one walks from the sea front upwards.

Lovely long promenade, lots of facilities for all ages!
Lovely long promenade, lots of facilities for all ages! Good little pedestrian shopping centre. People friendly. Close to other coastal resorts of interest. Railway station close to town - lovely scenic ride via Exeter
Our room, no, róóms (plural) were spacious beyond expectations... tations...tations...tations. We even had two bathrooms. Our topbartenders Lloyd and Titch combine old-fashioned professionality with friendliness. All staff members are hospitable. The facilities like swimming pools are free. Breakfast is superb. The enormous garden is beautiful. The building is charming (although it seems a bit weighed down by its years). Bottomline: this is the best place to stay in Exmouth. (And I visited a few.)
This is probably the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in, but then Exmouth is a very friendly place, too. The staff were wonderful, and I had the best of conversations. The room was fine, if a little small, and it was nice to have a bar to sit at in the evening. The location is excellent, a short walk from the beach and the town. You can walk for miles along the beach and the cliff pathway which I reached from the end of the beach.
Excellent seafront location. We booked a standard double but we're upgraded to a large sea view room. I mentioned it was my birthday and the man on reception left chocolate brownies and a birthday greeting note in our room, which was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. There were lots of nice toiletries in the room. It was very clean. There was parking in front of the hotel for £6
We chose this location to be close to our late sister who lived in Exmouth before she died.
Breakfast very good .
Our rooms weren't together as requested but I no this isn't always possible.
Disappointed with standard of our room compared to the other room which was more modern and upto date I'm aware we we in the older side of hotel but rooms which are same price should be of equal standard.
Lovely, comfortable and modern apartment with private parking space in an excellent location for getting around Exmouth easily - just a short walk from the sea, shops and train station. The agency was helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay (especially the nice sunsets seen from the living room/terrace) and would definitely be happy to stay here again.
The location is excellent for exploring the surrounding beauty of south Devon whilst enjoying Exmouth in its full. The apartment's were excellent, exceptionally clean and came fully equipped for for a long holiday or even as we did a long weekend. The hosts could not do enough for you , we are already looking to go back early in the new year.
We had a lovely stay, our room turned out to be a two bedroom apartment with full kitchen facilities overlooking beautiful gardens and the beach. The hotel is very conveniently located for the beach and town with no problem parking. Staff were all amazing. Mid week menu was limited but adequate and good value for money.
The hotel is located well. Friendly staff and a nice place to stay, albeit a bit pricey. Didnt have breakfast. the room was ok. Lovely comfortable bed, spotless bedding, lovely towels. We paid for the parking on site which was £10.00 per night. parking is difficult so happy to pay for a space at the hotel
The staff were exceptional, so warm and welcoming and we were upgraded for free as it was my birthday. That was such a lovely touch. Hotel was stunning and also views would have been if it were not for the rain and we arrived when it was dark. Hope to stay longer next time to explore properly.
It's a very nice place to stay. Convenient to town and the beach. Very clean and quiet. The bar is a beautiful relaxing place to have a night cap before heading to bed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
The overall ambience of the hotel, and breakfast was lovely 😍 the bar area was nicely decorated , and the bar staff were very helpful, and a great view over the bay , only a short walk to the beach or into central Exmouth 😀.
Breakfast was lovely and waiting staff good. Reception staff friendly. Parking made easy with names on spaces. Location of hotel was perfect.
Other areas of the hotel were appealing and smart.
A great place to stay, lovely host, very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished and maintained, very close to Exmouth, and easy walking to pubs and restaurants. Excellent of road parking
It was lovely that there was tea and coffee and milk provided, plenty of towels too and washing tablets. The area was beautiful, canonteign falls, clovelly and exmouth beach are a must.
The room (206) was in an excellent location with a good view over the sea. There was plenty of room.
The hotel has parking and is also convenient for walking into the town.
Great location to explore Exmouth and easy access to other parts of Devon. Great communication from host and very helpful. Quiet block with plenty of things to do nearby.
Great place to stay, easy walking distance of town centre and surrounded by great pubs, cafe's and restaurants. Really comfy clean stay, garage is an additional bonus.
