I stayed in the Louisa Lodge, lovely spacious room felt really comfortable and relaxed. I wasn't sure what to expect staying in the lodge instead of the main hotel but it really didn't make any difference about a minutes walk through the garden to get to main hotel, for the bar and Breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and good value for money. All the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent quick easy access to the main town centre and of course the beach!
Overlooking Swanage Bay and the Jurassic Coast, this YHA hostel is 250 metres from Swanage’s Blue Flag sandy beach.

Super comfy and clean place! With a great view over the bay. Self-catering kitchen was truly impressive, both its cleanliness and the cooking equipment. Super friendly host!

Fish and chips on the front were superb, and there are lots of nice cafes. The pier is invigorating with fantastic views, the steam train station within a short walk, and a lovely long promenade to walk. There are a good number of welcoming pubs, and a variety of restaurants including pizza, mediteranean cuisine, indian takeaway, burgers, and wonderful bakeries offering Dorset apple cake, pasties and pastries.
Lots of interesting shops with Jurassic keepsakes, RNLI gifts, and antiques. There are supermarkets, a chemist, and cashpoints. Once down in the town and at the seafront, it is pretty flat, so easy to get a round, but the hills can make it a difficult climb back after a day on the beach!

Great traditional sea side town full of everything a family would need for a good holiday.
So many kinds of take away food, restaurants and chippies. Brilliant choice of shops for all tastes.
Steam train trips. Boat trips and crabbing in the small harbour.
Very long sandy beech and beautiful walks to be had along the bay and cliffs.
Bird watchers will enjoy the bird colonies along the cliffs.

Out of season Swanage is still charming.
Out of season Swanage is still charming. Small enough to walk round, but large enough to have a variety of shops and eateries. The Salt Pig was good for eating in. You can walk the coast path amongst other walks.

we only had two full days in Swanage in the middle of November, so our experience was not typical, We did look to drive into the town and park on the road by the side of the seafront, however the parking charge of £4.30 for the first hour put us off, who wants to benefit from 3 hours at £7.00 in November. As we didn't use the town car parks we cannot comment on the charges in them.
My husband has bad knees so we didn't park and walk around the town but there did seem to be some interesting little, individual shops as we drove through, We found Corfe Castle a delight to visit, especially the NT tea shop! We hope to go back.

I've stayed in Swanage several times and this reflects my like of Swanage and the surrounding area.
The Town / beach / numerous eating options / the compact layout of the Town makes it easy to navigate. Also great walks in and around Swanage for short strolls or longer treks.
Can't say I would have anywhere that I would avoid on subsequent visits.
We were really well looked after as a large mixed age family by all the staff. They were all so polite, attentive and really kind.
The views were absolutely stunning from the bedrooms, conservatory and garden.
Having steps from the garden to the beach was fantastic and meant that we made full use of the beach.
We were all able to park our cars in the car park, but also did not feel the need to use them as walking along the beach to town was an easy option, not that we wanted to leave the hotel.
The evening meal was delicious.
This apartment is in a superb location, on the ground floor, and just a few minutes walk to the beach, parks, amusements, town centre and of course, the great Swanage Railway station. It includes 2 free parking spaces - which are essential for this town in summer. The kitchen area is brand new and everything works smoothly. Jo was very helpful and quick to respond to guide us on a few initial queries to get us settled in. Would certainly consider returning.
We had a fab week staying at Arbour House B&B. Fraser and Sarah are great hosts and made us feel very welcome.
The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was very tasty with a great selection to choose from.
The B&B is in a great position within a few minutes walk of the beautiful sandy Swanage beach.
We will definitely be back soon.
Thank you Fraser and Sarah x
Spacious, very clean, and well equipped.
The kitchen had a great gas cooker and oven. The microwave was good and was the kettle.
Beds are very comfy and bedding. They are good clean quality.
Bathroom clean with lovely shower.
The living had excellent seating with a very comfortable main sofa and a chair with leg rest.
The location is perfect since Swanage Beach is only 5 mins walk away.
We chose not to have breakfast at the accommodation as we like to go out.
The location was ideal for walking to the beach and into town.
Martin very welcoming and friendly and checked both mornings everything was ok.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. Not a lot of space in the room, however this was fine for us for 2 nights and we were just using it for somewhere to sleep.
Lovely clean, comfortable room with a super view of the hills behind Swanage. Family room, so had a double bedroom and a separate single room, all beautifully decorated. Breakfast and room service was great and staff were very helpful and friendly. View from breakfast room over the sea is amazing. We went down the 114 steps from the garden to the sandy beach - was beautiful.
A wonderful room with sea views, and a very good size. Shot walk to beach. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and good service and friendly staff.
Been to this hotel twice before and it never lets you down. They managed the social distancing very well.
Thank you very much, un fortunately the weather was terrible especially for June.
Great welcome from the host. Lovely large and airy house and our room (1) had large windows letting in lots of light. Breakfast was superb and generous - very hot cooked to order! Location was fine - out of Swanage centre but a pleasant walk along the beachfront to get to the town's facilities. Quiet with no traffic noise at night.
Every evening we returned a form which we had filled in with our breakfast-wishes. We could choose between SO MUCH.
Our triple bedroom was spacious, the hotel is next door to the path to the beach. In the reception is a fridge with ice cold water to take to your room + fresh milk for your tea.
The house was a home away from home, our host was very friendly and attentive. Everything you could need for a comfortable and memorable stay was provided we will definitely be returning in the New year and recommending this home to our family and friends.
The room was first class, Very large & spacious. Our hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was served in our room daily by filling in the menu. The b&b is very close to all amenities in Swanage town & the beach. Would highly recommend staying.
Great location with only a short walk to the town centre, beach & local convenience store.
Lovely touches with milk, tea, biscuits & doggy treats for our pups first holiday away from home!
Honestly cannot fault & will recommend to others.
The room and en suite were excellent, good choice of teas and coffee in the room. The breakfast choice was great, the best we have had in any Guest House. Swanage Haven Boutique Hotel
is a place that we will certainly return to.
The Hotel is right in the centre of Swanage so walking distance to the beach, shops and cafes. There is parking available which is also a real positive. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.
The breakfast was good and very filling which we needed because we had a long day at a wedding nearby. The view and access to the beach were second to none - I think this was the best part.
