From the moment we arrived by water taxi to the time we left by water taxi we had a wonderful time. We were met and greeted by a lovely receptionist who also happened to be there to say goodbye when we left to move onto the main Island We had a suite on the first floor which was fantastic. Our view from the windows looked over to the Lagoon Grand Canel. Breakfast was included and their was plenty to choose from. One evening we had a meal in house and sat outside overlooking the water. All the staff were great and very attentive. My husband and I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to you all.

Spanning 11 kilometres between the Adriatic Sea and one of the most famous lagoons in the world, Lido is a narrow and long island located just in front of Venice’s Old Town. Beach resorts, hotels and private villas replaced the vegetable gardens 160 years ago that provided tranquil settings for poets and writers like Lord Byron and Thomas Mann.
Probably one of the first beach resorts in the world, its first facility opened in 1857 and soon became a success. Nowadays, it constitutes a peaceful suburb that claims its golden past once a year during the Film Festival, and offers a quieter setting for your accommodation than central Venice.
There are actually three different villages on the island. Lido itself is located in the north, and includes most of the hotels and the Venice Casino. The smaller Malamocco and Alberoni are situated to the centre and south respectively. The sea-facing side of Lido Island is a succession of sandy beaches, mostly belonging to different resorts and hotels.
Gran Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta is the island’s main street, leading from the ‘vaporetto’ water bus pier to the sea. There are buses running on the island, while direct waterbus links to Venice Marco Polo Airport are also available.

Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year.
Lido was recommended to me by a friend who goes every year. She'd stayed in lots of areas. Great choice ! The island was quieter, cleaner, cheaper and not so busy. It was lovely to walk around, trees, flora and fauna, churches , lots of shops and restaurants. Short stroll to a beautiful beach. Amazing sunsets, with all those views. Picture perfect. We used a three day vaporetta pass to get around. We were two stops away from main part of Venice, where we got off to explore. Four stops to San Marco, quick and easy. Longer trips to Murano, which was worth a visit...free to get into the glass factory on a Wednesday and the airport was a 45 minute ride, but easily done.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The space was quaint and perfectly located away from the crazy busy hub that is Venice. It was a 5 minute walk to the laundromat, where you could have a drink nearby at a bar while you waited. Another 5 minute walk and you were at the beach. Lots of eateries, shops, bars and way less people.

Very close to the buzzing city of Venice (only minutes by Vaporetto) but away from all the noise and crowded streets. Perfect place to relax in the evening. Very nice restaurants, B&Bs and even a beach where you can sunbath and swim. We used to stay in Venice but now we always stay here.

Feels like a typical Italian village, but it's only a ten minute boat ride to piazza San Marco. It's quiet, but elegant. The bars and restaurants I tried - on the main boulevard and along the canal - were excellent.

I didn't go to the beach, I went to a ceremony in the Palazzo del cinema. Lido is a quiet place with beautiful houses and a beach. You can see the sunset from the water front and Venice which was very pretty. I heard that it's quite dead in winter time, but end of September was perfect, quiet but still lively.
Location is very good, being half way between the vaporetto station and the beach. I couldn't decide whether it was a hotel with attached restaurant, or restaurant with attached hotel. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice. Hotel reception staff were very helpful and knew their stuff. They also stored my luggage after I checked out until it was time to get the boat to the airport. 24hr reception is great especially as my flight was very late arriving, and I only just got the last airport boat to the Lido.
The position of the hotel is wonderful. On a very quite island with a lot of local restaurants and bars - both luxurious and inexpensive. Safe heaven from loud Venice. 5 min walking to a private beach, 15 min to a public beach. Easy commute on buses to reach water tram or local supermarket. 15 min takes with a river tram to reach Venice. Staff is very pleasant, careful and considerate. Cosy breakfast in small canteen had been always the best way to start a day.
The hotel is modern, excellent location on a quiet street away from the noise! The room was very nice with a large private bath more than usual in central Venice. The staff was great and buffet breakfast all you could want. Would definitely stay again. Just wonderful. had a little trouble with the lock on the door but handled with a manual key!
- The hotel is located on a quiet street, so a peaceful night of sleep is guaranteed, yet only a short walk from restaurants and bars.
- Every single one of the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
- Close to the beach. Also there bicycles available for rental (I borrowed one on a slow day, staff let me have it for free)
The location was good; walkable distance to the beach and also to the main strip on Lido.
I liked having a small kitchen to cook in and store food (and leftovers from restaurants). The other hotels we stayed in (in Europe) didn't even have a mini fridge!
It felt safe: there was a gated entrance with a code we had to enter.
The hotel is very close to the main ferry stop in the island of Lido. In the same street, there are a lot of restaurants and shops. It's a 10-15 minute walk away from the beach. The room was renovated and the bathroom was super new. The hotel breakfast was abundant and varied, could not even manage to try everything!
Our room had a wonderful view on venice, I could stay on that balcony all day!
the location of the hotel is just in front of the vaporetto stop of Lido, it is a really cool laidback area far from the hustle of Venice’s main islands.
Staff was kind and helpful, and the room was very comfortable.
We absolutely love everything about the hotel, the location is just 10mins water taxi to Venice city, the hotel decor is exceptionally beautiful, the staffs are all nice and welcoming, the beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Definitely the best value for money for a 5 star.
this is unbelievable hotel from all aspects,
privacy, beauty of the property, location, professionalism of stuff and friendliness. we already decided to come back in September. I can’t thank enough the stuff to make our first stay unforgettable so there is more to come.
The hotel is great! Our room was comfortable and very clean, double bed was of huge size.
Hotel staff was nice and always ready to help. Good location (15 min walk from vaporetto stop, 5 min to the beach). Buffet breakfast was tasty.
I would stay there again!
The rooms were terrific, especially if you like 'old' and 'authentic' more than modern style. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel overall felt very cozy. The location is really good, very close to the bus stops. 2-3 min walking distance to the beach.
The hotel is a beachfront propert which has an amazing scenery from rooms. The rooms were clean and has refrigerator in it. There is nothing to complain. İt was bang for a buck. The staff was super friendly and the service quality was outstanding.
Our host Sohail Ranna was absolutely fantastic - he made feel welcome and helped us with every question we had - he even recommended an amazing restuarant we ate in on the first night.
He couldnt help you enough and is a credit to the hotel.
Very nice location, close to vaporetto.
Many nice restaurants around.
Generally liked staying at Lido, beautiful island and as a bonus you can go to a beach
Very nice breakfast at the hotel is a plus.
Staff was nice
We were looking to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Venice. This hotel provided a balance, there were restaurants and stores close by without having to be in city center. The staff is friendly, the bed comfortable.
This is a real 5 star hotel. It’s beautiful with spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and with plenty of staff to serve you everywhere. It’s the perfect place to relax with family or as a couple
Personel was so, so nice... Location near beach and bus stops were also great and that was important for us.
