It has a 24-hour reception so there was somewhere to go when the ship from Helsinki arrived at 4 a.m. They had my room ready early, by around 12 pm. They also let me switch the breakfast from the day or leaving to the day of arriving, since on the final morning I wouldn't have had time to eat it. The breakfast offering was good. The room was as new, very good.

Spacious, clean and cozy rooms, great location, very good breakfast, possibility to stay with a dog for a relatively small additional payment compared to other hotels, super friendly staff.

The location was great because it was next to the harbour. You can even see the ships from your hotel room. The staff was really friendy and helpful.
Boasting a patio with garden views, a private beach area and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, Strandbergs Stugor can be found in Mariehamn, close to Mariebad Beach and 1.8 km from Nabbenbadet Beach.
It is a charming city with kind people.
We visited Maxinge shopping center and ate one of the best pizzas in a long time in a Diablo pizzeria, which felt authentically Italian (from one that grew up on Italian) in so many ways. A trip would have been worth it just for it.
Many lovely places for charming walks around the city and area.

Aland is a great place full of nature.
Aland is a great place full of nature. Mariehamn is nice, but I mostly enjoyed the nature. My favourite place in Mariehamn was the vista point from Badhusparken. Further, I visited Saltvik, Kastelholm and Eckerö, all reachable by bus from Mariehamn.

There are not too many tourists in Mariehamn.
There are not too many tourists in Mariehamn. In many places, menus and other brochures are only in Swedish, and for tourists it would be good to have the information in English as well.
There are many good swimming spots.

The nautical museum and ship Pommern are well worth a visit.
The nautical museum and ship Pommern are well worth a visit. The cultural museum is also interesting. Lots of attractive wooden houses and enjoyed walking in the parks and along the seaside. 1 1/2 days was perfect. Excellent meals at Indigo and Park restaurants where I had local perch and local lamb.

I visited during weekend.
I visited during weekend. It was surprising that all the shops cafes etc closed on saturday at 4pm and didn't open at all on sunday. So it was really quiet and there were literally no one in the city center. And basically not much to do.

It's a great spot for a weekend getaway.
It's a great spot for a weekend getaway. While there, you must cycle around the marshes, visit the Museum Ship Pommern and dine at Indigo! If you can, take your cycles with you or rent cycles there. Do not rely on public transport, especially during the weekends. The frequency is extremely low.
The location was the best in town. Breakfast was superb with lot of variety with lot of local dishes, such as Åland pancake with cream and plum sauce, Åland apple juice as well as local cheese and ham with fresh bread. In addition to this, there is a large outdoor pool which gives a Mediterranean vibe for the hotel experience. The room was very spacious having also an air conditioning to cool the nights although was very warm outside. We had also a free room upgrade with the sea view for our 7 nights trip.
Breakfast was better than expected from the reviews: there was porridge, different bread, cheese, ham, omelette, sausage, yoghurt, cereal, two different juices, milk, coffee, tea - if you don't fancy a brunch it will do its job as something to begin the day with. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfy. Despite showing its age it was well cleaned. Being situated only a few minutes walk from the harbour and the museum, the location served as a convenient base for a Mariehamn adventure.
The tent was very fresh and spacious. Especially the bed and the bedding were on hotel level, extremely comfortable. Bed sheets, towels and breakfast were included in the price. Breakfast was tasty, filling and served nicely. Hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. We had bikes with us so the location was excellent, it was about 10 min by bike from Mariehamn. I can warmly recommend the place for staying!
Lobby and bar area very nice and modern. Very clean and fresh hotel. Rooms well soundproofed so could not hear anythibg from neighbours.
I got an early checkin free of charge, and a evening checkout for a reasonable price.
If you want a more fancy stay, Pommern would ve the right choice.
The food was okay. Everything else was below any reasonable standard. The building stinks and is badly hurt with moisture problems. I cannot understand how the Aland tourist authority and building controllers do not blow the whistle and demand the stop of this accommodation establishment.
Strandbergs Stugor has lovely tiny houses. Ours was fully equipped and conveniently located few steps from the small beach and the swimming pool. The whole setting was enchanting and perfectly located a few minutes from Mariehamn. I would happily stay there again in the future.
The hotel is located at the best possible place for a hotel in Mariehamn. The breakfast was excellent, I already miss it! I was happy that also vegan options and local specialities were available. We enjoyed the two swimming pools and the sauna. The rooms were nice.
Good location close to Marienhamn port, yet quiet neighbourhood. Everything worked (shower, hairdryer) ok and the hotel served its purpose. Room was worn but clean. Breakfast was simple but adequate, all basic courses were there but choises were few.
The room itself was nice and offered all you really need. The location of the hotel in relation to the centre of Mariehamn was very convenient. Breakfast was fine, basic, nothing fancy. The guy at reception was polite and helpful.
Great location and easy to park at the hotel, either in hotel car park or free on street parking. Breakfast good, not huge choice but good quality and all you need for a good start to the day. Staff is very nice and helpful.
It was in a great location not too far from train station. You can take tram to hotel or walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. Breakfast was great.
Very peaceful and quiet and a short walk to centre of Mariehamn. Apartment contained everything needed for the stay, good cooking facilities and also very good wifi.
One bedroom suite was big. Location was great. Room was quiet and I liked the window shades. Nice big bath tub. The hotel restaurant was nice and the food was good.
