Nice location for Bury st Edmunds and good parking. Chose to go out for Dinner - We wet into town (good 20 minute walk) by car and there are plenty of varying cost eateries. Town is really nice.

Excellent location for shops and restaurants, and beautiful Abbey Gardens opposite.
The service was outstanding, especially from the concierge, (Steve) who went above and beyond in helping us to settle in. All staff were polite and attentive, and the breakfast was really good.

Everything you needed in a nice cosy space. Hosts really welcoming and helpful. Perfect for exploring the local area whether that’s shopping or exploring the greater area. Shame it was for work this time. Would certainly stay again. Really clever set up with the auto sign out on the accounts for the tele also, I’m always forgetting.

How can Bury Saint Edmunds disappoint? Historic place, old Abbey, wonderful Cathedral. I was there to visit Ickworth in nearby Horringer, where the Lords of Bristol Hervey lived. It is a National Trust site, Gorgeous walking trails. Well worth a visit. Suffolk is as beautiful as Yorkshire in my opinion. I am a Harvey (Hervey) descending from the same ancestors. Bury has great restaurants. Wonderful small town.

Bury St Edmunds is a beautiful Town with plenty of lovely places to visit. It has a very unspoilt, almost old fashioned feel to it. There are plenty of great Independent shops and also larger more recognisable high street chains. The Abbey Gardens are beautiful especially in the Summer time.
You are spoilt for choice with the selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs to eat in. The Apex is a fantastic venue to watch a show in or just wander in and have a coffee.

Bury St Edmunds is a wonderfully historic English town with a slower pace than Cambridge. It’s definitely a really nice change from busy London. I would stay in Bury St Edmunds over Cambridge. Just take the train to Cambridge for a day and then come back to the calm of Bury St. Edmunds to enjoy your precious time minus the tourists.

Bury St Edmund’s is a very English town full of heritage.
Bury St Edmund’s is a very English town full of heritage. The Abbey Gardens and ruins are beautiful and well maintained. The town is full of small gourmet restaurants and quaint cafes. Giggling Squid restaurant is amazing! There are plenty of shops for buying gifts and a regular market on Wednesdays. You do not need a car to get around this town.

The room was big clean and comfortable..the bed was very comfortable. You were supplied with bath robes towels slippers and toiletries. The hotel staff we’re warm and welcoming nothing was any trouble they were so friendly. The breakfast was outstanding. A wide range to choose from you could specify any preferences. Hot filter coffee was a bonus too. You could choose your time and the order was brought to your room. Would highly recommend a stay and you are not far from the town centre.
The Chantry lived up to our expectations in all respects. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well furnished and comfortable, the parking was ideal, though make sure you take a wide turn into the car park. It's fairly close to the beginning of Sparhawk Street - one way - on the right before you get to the hotel. The location is excellent, a short walk to the Abbey and the town centre.
10 is not high enough for this charming hotel. Everything was beyond excellent. Nigel and his wife deserve all the highest praise. Lovely full English breakfast prepared by them for all the guests. Rooms were very comfortable, even during England's hottest times. They even offered to take us to the train station when it was too early for taxis.
The location was excellent. Parking can be difficult in town centre. It's right on the street so quite noisy with windows open. The noise was fine to deal with given the perfect location and having an amazing view of the cathedral from the living room and bedroom. Apartment was clean and comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with modern decor. The bathroom had a heated towel rail which was a nice touch. Easy to get to location with lots of food delivery options and a supermarket opposite. The hotel menu was good and room service was available too.
The decor was lovely our room
Was too, the staff were very friendly. The hotel is just a short walk into the main part of bury where all the shops and restaurants are.
Would stay here again, lots of parking on site easy to get too.
Room was massive, liked the separate dressing room.
The ambiance is great for a town centre pub offering accommodation bearing in mind the expected issues such as the lack of a private car park and the difficulties arising out of the joint use i.e. as a pub, a restaurant and a small hotel.
The location is excellent for Bury Saint Edmunds. The staff were lovely and I will go back again. I believe major refurbishment is a planned in the spring following a recent change in management that will enhance the property enormously.
Our room was clean and spacious. We had all the facilities that we could have wanted in the room. The hotel was close to the town and easy to find. The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep.
It was amazing, very clean and cozy!!!! love how it was walking distance to shopping and restaurants!!!! And a plus it has its very on restaurant!!! Will be coming back soon!!!
