The overall historical significance of the Channel Islands...
The overall historical significance of the Channel Islands through the last millennium is fascinating -- the back and forth with France and England. Then, there is the significance of the German Occupation during WW2 with the artifacts that were left that are incredible. The island scenery, with the old, old houses and buildings, as well as the beautiful coastline, make this a very interesting, yet relaxing place to stay. The bus system is very easy to use and cheap with a 7 day pass. If you are looking for an interesting vacation, this is a good place to visit.

St Saviour is a fairly quiet inland part of Guernsey.
St Saviour is a fairly quiet inland part of Guernsey. We wanted a quiet country hotel and this is exactly what we got.
A hire car is necessary easily to visit the numerous attractions on this lovely island.
A particular highlight was the west-facing Cobo where we spent quite a bit of time enjoying the view.
St Peter Port is showing some, perhaps inevitable, signs of recession but is still a most enjoyable visit. We appreciated the ease of car parking for a short time close to the centre.

Loved the landscapes, the beaches, the friendliness of the bus drivers, the walks, the extraordinary accessibility of monuments (walk into a neolithic grave; into St Appolline's chapel); the hedge veg!
Found the bus timetable a little difficult to navigate.

Quite remote but beautiful in its own way.
Quite remote but beautiful in its own way. Well served by a Morrison shop and combined garage, No swimming beach but a wonderful vista that changed dramatically with the tides. A hotel close by for an occasional drink or meal. Good bus service and any journey one cost a pound!

A lovely parish with good facilities.
A lovely parish with good facilities. There is a pretty village nearby with a post office/gift shop, and a Morrison’s supermarket. A lovely bus or car ride will take you to the stunning West coast beaches. The parish church is also worth a visit, as is Auberge du Val hotel/restaurant.

Great location right next to the beach with lovely views of Fort Gray and Lihou Island. Our room was spacious, very comfortable with a balcony and sea views. The decor of the hotel is lovely. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was amazing. The staff at the hotel was professional and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel for meal or stay.
Beautiful room with exceptional bathroom.
Food in hotel was great and staff were helpful and attentive.
The hotel is a little way out of St Peter Port but we had a car to get around anyway, depends what your preferences are. Beautiful hotel which we won't hesitate to use again.
Room 5 has a balcony with excellent view of the bay, and the sunset.
Attractive decor with nautical theme.
Quiet room on the end of the hotel building.
Breakfast and dinner menus good, varied, food well-cooked and attractively presented, staff friendly.
I always check this hotel first before booking accommodation on Guernsey. it never fails to please. Rooms are relaxed with a fresh feel. Most rooms have a view of the seat and the facilities are more than enough for a few nights stay and a base for work
We liked everything about this hotel. The rooms are big, bright and comfortable and the view to the sea is amazing.
The food was always of five star quality from the taste to the presentation.
We will definitely recommend to friends and family.
The location was very good. The Bay was just outside the hotel.
Also the possibility to have a bus station at the opposite is very good, you do not need a car and can just jump on the bus.
The staff was very friendly and the interior was nice.
This hotel is a gem , the staff are excellent, the rooms are lovely, the decor is very tasteful , we ate in the restaurant 2 nights and the food was lovely, we can't wait to go back
