The view is great, as you may see in the photos; the staff was very attentive; the rooms were spacious and clean; the common areas were very large and we could find spots just to ourselves; having a kitchen is a great asset since we like to cook from time to time...
Just be aware that you will need a car because the villa is located in a steep hill and walking will be hard.

Lovely spacious room, with nice view …small kitchen to help out with breakfast, lovely large beds, wonderful shower, close enough to get into Mykonos town easily on the water taxi but far enough away for peace and quiet in the evenings…lovely staff, simple and easy stay …coffee shop, supermarket and cafe right next door for simple breakfast or lunch if u needed. Tourlos is pretty much just the port so v v busy either ferries and most days 3 or 4 cruise ships as well. Doesn’t have a village feel the hotel is on a very busy main road with no pavement so you can’t really walk along to explore.

Definitely the magnificent views and the friendliness of the people. We were told that food and drinks were expensive. But there are plenty of restaurants that had more reasonable prices. To get the most of our trip there, we rented an auto so we can travel to other beaches to avoid the strong winds. There are also less expensive vehicles to rent like ATV, motorcycles, and vespas.

Tourlos is at the best a suburb of Mykonos, and we didn't see anything special; The place is in a few kilometers distance from Mykonos center. To get there on foot, make sure you have good knees and ankles. Shopping food and specially water is not straight forward around the area. Specially carrying water , if you do no have a car, it would be tiresome. The tab water is only usable for taking shower. The hostess was kind enough to leave a bottle of water for drinking to start with.

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....

Tourlos is definitely a great reference point for exploring the island of Mykonos. The hotel prices are reasonabe when compared with those in Mykonos town, and also in comparison to the hotels in the vicinity of the popular beaches in the South of the island. And, should you arrive or depart from the New Port of Mykonos to any of the other islands, your hotels are mostly in walking distance to the departure/arrival point of the New Port.
And, the airport is also reasonably close, so that most hotels are offering a free shuttle service upon your arrival at Mykonos Airport.
I would definitely come back to Tourlos, and even to the same hotel, based on my pleasant experiences with the hotel operators.

The property is excellent. Good location, close to the downtown, the old and new Port, and very accessible to the main road. 4 minutes for the airport. The apartment it’s very lightly, with a beautiful sea view, and balcony. Very clean and have all the amenities that you need to just arrive and use it. Maria (the host) is incredibly kind and easy-going, very responsive, give all the tips to make your stay the best one. We totally back to this place, I recommended it 100%. Thanks Maria for everything!
I was looking for somewhere serene with great views of the island, away from all the noise where I could enjoy quality time with family. This hotel checked all those boxes. The food was great to boot, the host and staff are exceptional and welcoming and the overall vibe was just chilled.
I would recommend getting some form of transportation (a car preferably) to get to and around other parts of the island from here. The drive is an experience in itself as well.
I enjoyed our stay at the Mykonos Riviera Hotel very much. We had a fantastic room with excellent views and it was quite clean and it certainly checked all the boxes of what you would want at a hotel. It was modern, the staff was great, and you couldn't ask for a better location. The staff at the front desk was awesome (Thank you - Ioanna). I would definitely stay there again when I am back to Mykonos. Thank you for the great stay!!
Pool was great and an added bonus, setting the property aside from others. Personally, once we got oriented we liked that it was away from all of the buzz...Sea bus was easily accessible and right across the street so was the regular bus and ferry. Breakfast was very good. Property was immaculate. Convenience store next door. We loved that that the hotel was family owned and operated.
The hotel was accross the harbour, they provide a pick up, but we did go by ourselves.
Friendly owner and staff. Our ferry was delayed for 3 hours, they let us stay in the lobby, which was very nice. They also let us know when the ferry was coming, thank you.
1 bottle of water each for our entire stay, spacious room with a great view, sunrise and sunset.
Great hotel, fantastic owners. Alex the owner and manager was so warm and kind, he even drove us to the center as we missed the bus and needed to catch the ferry. Thank you, Alex! His sister Anna and his mom were really sweet and lovely. Fantastic ocean view from room, huge clean room and a front patio too to enjoy the views. Great price.
Great guests, very smiley and welcoming.
The room (for 3) on the roof was very nice with big terrace.
Many cats, the mother cat made our stay even better, we invited her to our room and she greeted us every morning and evening until we left. :D
Bus stations (Tourlos Beach) close by. mykonosbeachesguide.com/transportation/mykonos-buses
Everything was perfect actually! This hotel has all the things it promises. It is a nice family business with helpful and friendly owners. The breakfast was great, the view from our room was perfect. We didn't even want to go outside the hotel because of our perfect scene with spectacular sunset. Thanks for everything!
Kalypso and all the team there were helpful, very friendly, and very nice. The facilities are the best 👌 we had been on all our trips around Athenas and Mykonos Island, we definitely recommend our Friends, Family and co-workers about Avra Mykonos Hotel, food was delicious and location was close to New and Old Port
Located right next to the ferry port and the Seabus stop to Mykonos town, away from the hustle and bustle of the overcrowded island. Free transfer to the (air) port. Very professional management. Nice view of the port and the bay of Mykonos. Pleasant rooms in the lower part of the hotel.
It was a nice hotel overlooking the port of Mykonos. The staff was unbelievably sweet and caring. The room had a huge balcony which makes the stay even more wonderful. This place is close to the port and hence you can take the Sea Bus to the old port
The grounds and pool area are lovely. The staff are incredible. The owner Elena went above and beyond to help us. Even picking us from the port! She was a credit to her hotel. Rooms are basic but everything you need and comfortable enough.
This traditional hotel was near to Matthew’s Tavern and the New Ferry Port. The swimming pool with a sea view was a bonus, while breakfast was tasty and the room was very comfortable. Will stay here again!
Very helpful staff of the hotel, Giorgos helped us a lot and has great approach to customers, he gave us all neccesary details about the island, thank You for making our stay in a great athmosphere! :)
everything was best. from staff reception , till breakfasta nd spa, massages, food amazing, pool was heated, good music by pool, perfect service. really i think best hotel in area. not far to center.
kalypso gave us good tips for activities and was very accommodating. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms beautiful! I can only recommend this hotel! thanks again for everything! 💗
location of the hotel is quite highly steep, difficult to access by foot which we never realize in advance.
Beside that, everything is perfect especially for the staff and breakfast
Hotel owners were very accommodating we were able to check out late and they were very flexible to drive us downtown. The room and the swimming pool were very nice too ! Lovely stay
